“only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you; Jesus Christ and the American Soldier. One died for your soul; the other for your freedom”
About
Beginning:
In February 2011, I stepped on the yellow foot prints at MCRD San Diego, CA. I left my wife of less than one year in Missouri, as I embarked on a long journey to USMC Bootcamp and MOS training. We finally joined back together in November 2011.
During:
During my service, Renee and I met so many amazing people, from all backgrounds, and from all around the world.
In August 2014, I was deployed with the 11th MEU, leaving my almost 2 year old daughter and wife sitting on a pier in San Diego. They were so strong while I was gone!
After:
I joined when I was 24, so I had some experience in the civilian world before I went into service but that didn’t seem to help much in July 2015 when I got out of the Marines. After 1 year of bouncing to 8 different places with my 2 year old and PREGNANT wife we settled in.
In-between all of these events is where the rubber really met the road. There were some really tough times behind the scenes and it didn’t seem to let up for awhile. We’ll get to that another time!
God put veterans on my heart before I ever joined and once I was out, I knew I had to do what God had put in my spirit to do.
So, after lots of prayer and thinking we came up with Veterans In Pursuit. The reality of it is we are all pursuing something whether it’s financial stability, peace in our home, the ability to cope, a relationship with God, or maybe just an ear to listen. VIP wants to be there to help.
